


Blane Cheatham
Senior Vice President of Capital Markets & Strategic Initiatives
Blane Cheatham is Senior Vice President of Capital Markets & Strategic Initiatives at Maslow’s Campus Communities, overseeing capital markets, investor relations, and financial reporting while also helping lead the company’s business intelligence initiatives.
With more than a decade of experience in real estate finance, capital markets, and investor relations—primarily in student housing—Blane’s approach is driven by market insights and alternative data, uncovering trends and indicators that enhance investment decision-making and business strategy.
Before joining Maslow’s Campus Communities, he spent six years at American Campus Communities in multiple finance and investor relations leadership roles.
As Vice President of Investor Relations at ACC, he served as ACC’s liaison to institutional investors and sell-side analysts, helping shape the NYSE publicly traded company’s investor communications strategy. He also worked directly with then CEO Bill Bayless, spearheading the development of an investment market and asset analysis framework, leveraging alternative data to conduct market and asset due diligence of investment opportunities. In addition, he also led the valuation analysis and financial modeling for the company’s $13 billion take-private transaction with Blackstone, providing critical insights to ACC’s Board of Directors..
Following the company’s take private transaction, Blane transitioned into a broader finance leadership role as Vice President of Finance for ACC. He led the capital markets team, and he also established a dedicated treasury function. With a more complex corporate structure, his treasury initiatives provided detailed insights into managing cash flows, navigating compliance structures, and enhancing financial decision-making.
Prior to ACC, Blane was a Senior REIT Analyst at Chilton Capital Management, where he developed expertise in real estate valuation, fundamentals, and capital raising. Covering over 30 publicly traded real estate companies across multiple sectors, he played a key role in shaping portfolio strategy by identifying emerging market trends and assessing investment opportunities.
Blane graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Master of Real Estate. He is a CFA Charter holder and also a Texas A&M football letterman.
Blane and his wife, Katie, reside in Dripping Springs, Texas, with their two sons.
