


Veronica Serrano
Vice President Controller
Veronica Serrano serves as Vice President Controller of Maslow’s Campus Communities, where she leads all accounting operations and strategy. In this role, Veronica ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, oversees internal controls, and provides strategic guidance to the executive team on financial matters. She also directs the development of accounting policies, cash management, and systems improvements that support Maslow’s growth.
Veronica graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, and holds a Master of Science in Accountancy, concentrating in Assurance and Advisory, from the University of Notre Dame. Veronica is a Certified Public Accountant.
Veronica began her career at Plante & Moran in Chicago, specializing in audits for real estate, manufacturing, and financial services clients. In 2013, she relocated to Austin, Texas, where she continued her public accounting career at BDO before joining American Campus Communities. Over nearly a decade there, she rose to Director of Corporate Accounting.
At American Campus Communities, Veronica was instrumental in the accounting of over $3 billion in developments and played an integral role in implementing construction software solutions, enhancing project efficiency and financial oversight. Veronica also contributed to the accounting of the company’s ~$13 billion privatization in 2022, gaining valuable experience in corporate transactions. Her expertise spans property, corporate, and development accounting, equipping her to support Maslow’s continued growth.
Veronica lives in Dripping Springs, Texas, with her husband, Ricardo, and their two sons.
