Luke Lagera is a partner and the Executive Vice President of Development & Investments at Maslow’s Campus Communities, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s growth and investment strategies. His expertise spans market entry analysis, financial evaluation, transaction negotiations, and overall investment strategy, ensuring the successful execution of Maslow’s real estate initiatives.
Before joining Maslow’s in 2025, Luke served as Executive and Senior Vice President at UMD Development, where he led the acquisitions platform for one of the leading horizontal multi-family companies in the United States. Under his leadership, the company expanded into multiple markets and generated a pipeline of several thousand units, while successfully achieving entitlement across various municipalities for construction. UMD Development is a pioneering company in the horizontal multifamily and build-to-rent sector, best known for creating the YardHomes® product brand in an exclusive joint venture with Bain Capital Real Estate.
Prior to his tenure at UMD, Luke was Vice President of Investments at American Campus Communities, where he led market research efforts related to investment opportunities, sourced student housing development sites and joint venture opportunities, and supported acquisitions and dispositions of stabilized student housing assets. Earlier in his career, he worked in Global Banking and Markets at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, specializing in equity investments, trading, and capital markets in New York City and Dallas.
Luke holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®).
